About the Journal

LENSA HUKUM: Journal of Islamic Law P-ISSN 1858-2818 is an international peer-reviewed scholarly journal published by the Faculty of Law, Universitas Cokroaminoto Yogyakarta (UCY). As the first academic journal established by the Faculty of Law, the journal upholds its longstanding scholarly tradition while embracing innovation and a global outlook to address the evolving landscape of Islamic legal studies.

Inspired by its name, LENSA HUKUM serves as an academic "lens" through which contemporary legal issues are examined, evaluated, and addressed from the perspective of Islamic law. The journal seeks to advance Islamic legal scholarship by promoting critical, analytical, and solution-oriented research that responds to the complexities of modern society and the challenges of legal development at the national, regional, and international levels.

Dedicated to disseminating original research, conceptual studies, and critical analyses on emerging issues in Islamic law, LENSA HUKUM: Journal of Islamic Law P-ISSN 1858-2818 is published biannually in June and December. The journal focuses on the theory and practice of Contemporary Islamic Law in Indonesia, Southeast Asia, and the global context through multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary approaches.
