Focus And Scope

LENSA HUKUM: Journal of Islamic Law is an international peer-reviewed journal dedicated to advancing scholarship in Islamic Law and Legal Studies through multidisciplinary, interdisciplinary, and comparative approaches. The journal provides an academic forum for examining, analyzing, evaluating, and proposing legal solutions to contemporary issues from the perspectives of Islamic law, national legal systems, comparative law, and international law.

The journal welcomes original research articles, conceptual papers, case studies, and critical reviews that contribute to the development of legal scholarship, particularly within the theory and practice of Contemporary Islamic Law in Indonesia, Southeast Asia, and the global context.

The scope of the journal includes, but is not limited to, the following areas: Islamic Family Law, Islamic Criminal Law, Islamic Constitutional Law (Siyāsah Shar'iyyah), Islamic Economic and Financial Law, Islamic Commercial and Business Law, Islamic Civil Law, Islamic Judiciary and Judicial Institutions, Islamic Legal, Sociology of Law and Islamic Law, Anthropology of Law and Islamic Law, Contemporary Issues in Law and Islamic Law, and Law and Society.

The journal particularly encourages manuscripts that offer innovative perspectives, comparative analyses, interdisciplinary approaches, and practical solutions to legal challenges facing contemporary societies. Priority is given to submissions demonstrating originality, methodological rigor, theoretical contribution, and relevance to current developments in Islamic law and legal studies at the national, regional, and global levels.
