Efektivitas Model Discovery Learning Terintegrasi Simulasi PhET dalam Meningkatkan Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis Peserta Didik pada Pembelajaran Fisika

This study aims to determine the use of the Discovery Learning model integrated with PhET in improving the critical thinking skills of students in grade XI at SMA Negeri 1 Peusangan on the topic of temperature and heat. The approach used is quantitative with a quasi-experimental research design. The population and samples in this study were students of classes XI.1 and XI.2, consisting of 19 students in each class. The data collection technique used a test of critical thinking skills. The data analysis technique was conducted using hypothesis testing with a t-test. The results showed that the calculated t-value was 4.218, which is greater than the t-table value of 1.687 (4.218 > 1.687). Therefore, the null hypothesis (H₀) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (H₁) is accepted. Thus, the critical thinking skills of grade XI students at SMA Negeri 1 Peusangan on the topic of temperature and heat after the implementation of learning are better than before the implementation of learning through the Discovery Learning model integrated with PhET. This indicates that the use of the Discovery Learning model integrated with PhET can improve students' critical thinking skills on the topic of temperature and heat.
