Abstract

This library research aims to reformulate of Islamic Religious Education (IRE) or PAI learning framework in the digital era to build the religious character and social piety of students in schools. This literature research findings emphasize that social development through religious education faces complex digital challenges that alter students' moral perspectives. Therefore, PAI is directed toward a contextual, reflective, and adaptive learning model to connect religious content with real-world social-digital experiences. Strengthening religious character is achieved by integrating digital ethics and spiritual awareness, while social piety is fostered through empathy, tolerance, and ethical participation in digital communities. PAI teachers must transform into moral guides and literacy agents, supported by a reformulated evaluation system that authentically measures religious understanding through real attitudes and social practices.
