Abstract

The researches were judicial normative research and empirical research. The judicial normative research was the research that explained the rules in existing law, related with the fact in field, then analized by comparing between ideal values in law regulation and the fact in the field.
The method of collecting data was through interview. Interview was a direct questions and answers with the respondents. There were two kinds of interview, structurally interviewed and unstructurally interviewed, or the combination of the two. Structurally interviewed was the interview based on prepared questions beforehand. While the unstructurally interviewed was the spontaneous questions at the time of interview conducted.
Based on the data analysis can be concluded that role of Police in tackling sexual crimes committed by juveniles in Yogyakarta Police jurisdiction is to provide counseling and briefings, coaching directly to the public are positive and beneficial nature, aimed at teenagers. Although the police in dealing with crime problems are still encountered obstacles such as lack of reports from the parties concerned for it to maintain the good name of the family as well as himself, the lack of evidence that ultimately the police have not been able to resolve completely the sexual crimes committed by juveniles. Obstacles faced by the National Police in an effort to cope with sexual crimes committed by juveniles in the jurisdiction in Yogyakarta Police consists of internal barriers.
